PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his nearly perfect performance against the Carolina Panthers last Thursday.

Roethlisberger threw five touchdowns and had a perfect passer rating of 158.3 completing 22 of 25 passes in the team’s 52-21 win over the Panthers.

Roethlisberger was also AFC Player of the Week back in September after the Steelers beat the Buccaneers 30-27 in Tampa.

This week’s honor marks the 17th time Roethlisberger has been named Player of the Week in his career.

Steelers running back James Conner was named Offensive Player of the Week  in Week 8 and linebacker T.J. Watt was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week in Weeks 1 and 5.
