Roethlisberger To Once Again Honor Tree Of Life Victims With Custom Cleats

Ben will wear cleats featuring the names of the 11 victims Thursday against the Panthers

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Ben Roethlisberger’s official Twitter account unveiled Thursday afternoon the Steelers quarterback will once again wear cleats to honor the victims of the Tree of Life synagogue shooting.

The black custom Nike cleats feature the Steelers hypocycloid with a blue Star of David, the words Stronger than Hate and the names of the 11 victims.

  •  Cecil Rosenthal, 59, of Squirrel Hill, City of Pittsburgh
  •  David Rosenthal, 54, (brother of Cecil), of Squirrel Hill
  •  Bernice Simon, 84, of Wilkinsburg
  •  Sylvan Simon, 86, (husband of Bernice), of Wilkinsburg
  •  Daniel Stein, 71, of Squirrel Hill, City of Pittsburgh
  •  Melvin Wax, 88, of Squirrel Hill, City of Pittsburgh
  •  Irving Younger, 69, of Mt. Washington, City of Pittsburgh

The names of the Rosenthal brothers are highlighted in gold. They were the brothers of former Steelers community relations manager Michele Rosenthal. Roethlisberger and many other Steelers players, coaches and staff attended their funeral.
