PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – For years the Steelers looked for “one for the thumb”, Sunday night Ben Roethlisberger pointed that at himself.

“I just didn’t make enough plays, point blank," Roethlisberger said.. "I’ll take ownership on that game, squarely on me.  I apologize to the fans, my teammates.  I just wasn’t good enough.”

Roethlisberger threw for 224 yards and the only touchdown in the first half, but only 50 in the second including a game-deciding interception in the 26-14 loss to the Ravens..

“They were just making more plays that we did,” Roethlisberger said.

Roethlisberger, and his teammates for that matter, didn’t have an answer for the team’s slow starts.  The Steelers have been outscored 42-6 in the first quarter helping to their 1-2-1 start.

“I don’t think I’m on the same page with anybody right now, because I’m not playing well enough," Roethlisberger said.  "I need to play better.  Today was just a bad day at the office, we’ve all had them.  I had one today.  I promise I will be back to play better.”
