PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – There doesn’t appear to be any doubt Ben Roethlisberger will play Sunday against the Patriots after suffering multiple bruised ribs in Oakland three days ago.

Roethlisberger said Wednesday morning he’s feeling fine, will take today’s practice off, which is standard procedure for him, and will be ready to go for the game.

As for Roethlisberger dealing with the pain.

“I think every situation is different,” Roethlisberger said.  “They’re not fun to deal with at times.  They wake you up when you are sleeping, but it is what it is.  You just go play football.  Everyone in here is banged up, it’s not just me.”

Roethlisberger has dealt with a myriad of ailments over his 15 year NFL career and there appears to be no worries moving forward.  The Steelers quarterback also kept his sense of humor when asked if he will wear anything protective this week.

“I’m going to wear a helmet, shoulder pads, thigh pads, knee pads and cleats.”
