Chip Ganassi’s IndyCar lineup is undergoing a change for 2019.  The 12-time IndyCar Champions are adding Felix Rosenqvist to the team as the driver of the No. 10 NTT DATA Honda.

“To say I’m thrilled or excited to be making this step in my career would be an understatement,” said Rosenqvist, who hails from Sweden.  “Coming to IndyCar and driving for Chip is just a dream come true”.

Rosenqvist, 26, scored two wins and three pole positions in the 2017-2018 ABB FIA Formula E Championship.  In 2016 Formula E season Rosenqvist scored Mahindra Racing’s first series win en route to a third-place finish in the Championship.  Rosenqvist also ran a partial Indy Lights season in 2016, scoring three wins in just 10-races.

Rosenqvist is no stranger to the Ganassi team having tested with them at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2016 and 2017.

“Felix has become familiar with our team and has worked in our system a little bit after coming over to test with us on a few occasions,” said Ganassi.  “Our management and engineering groups, along with the entire team, were impressed by his ability.  The time was right to get him in the No. 10 car and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we are confident about what he can do behind the wheel next season”.

Rosenqvist will team with five-time and reigning IndyCar Series Champion, Indianapolis 500 Champion and 44-time race winner Scott Dixon.

“Scott has had another tremendous season with three wins and a fifth title,” said Rosenqvist.  “You absolutely couldn’t ask for anything more in a teammate”.

Long-time Ganassi partner NTT DATA will continue as the primary sponsor of the No. 10 Honda and as an associate sponsor on Dixon’s No. 9 PNC Bank Honda.

“We’re extremely proud to announce that NTT DATA has renewed with us as part of a multi-year deal,” said Ganassi.  “They have been a fantastic partner of the team and big advocates of the sport for a number of years and we are pleased to see it move into the future”.

NTT DATA began its relationship with the team in 2013 at the Indy 500 on the No. 8 car and after the 500 continued as an associate on the No. 83 car before becoming a primary sponsor in 2014.  NTT DATA also partnered with Ganassi's Sports Car team and is also the official IT services partner to the entire Chip Ganassi Racing operation.

“Together, NTT DATA and Chip Ganassi Racing have proven to be a championship team, and we are proud to continue our longstanding partnership,” said John McCain, NTT DATA Services Chairman. “IndyCar is the pinnacle of racing, and with Felix and Scott behind the wheel, the Ganassi team will continue to set the standard for peak performance”.
