PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The struggling Pirates are down two more pitchers.

The team announced Wednesday afternoon that right-handed pitchers Chris Archer and Clay Homes have both been placed on the 10-day injured list.

Archer, who started in Tuesday night’s 4-1 victory against Washington only lasted one inning after sustaining a shoulder injury and is out with right shoulder inflammation.

He struck out two and gave up two hits in that inning.

Holmes who pitched 3.2 innings in the victory in on the shelf with left quadriceps discomfort.

Holmes gave up one hit and one run with 3 strikeouts and 4 walks.

To fill spots on the roster, right-handed pitchers Dario Agrazal and Parker Markel have been called up from Triple-A Indianapolis.
