It's been a tough morning for Pens fans after they were eliminated last night by the Washington Capitals ending their chance at a 3-peat. AT&T Sportsnet Pens Analyst Jay Caufield joined The Cook and Poni Show on Tuesday to recap Game 6 and the Pens season.

Caufield tells the guys that with the Caps dealing with so many key players out he thought the Pens had the advantage going into Game 6 but the Caps found a way.

"Washington played a great game." Caufield said. "But I still thought we would see more out of the Penguins."

Caufield says the Caps did a better of making adjustments and they had the better play in net and that was the difference.

"I do believe everything wore down after awhile,:" Caufield added. "When you can't get contributions throughout the 1-4 lines and not getting enough even strength scoring..it's hard to move on."

And the Pens will not..The Caps will.

Listen to the full hour from Jay with Cook and Poni as he talks about where the series turned...what changes could be coming and who he likes moving forward in the playoffs.
