PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – Pens captain Sidney Crosby was named the “Most Complete Player” in a poll of nearly 600 NHL players from all 31 franchises.

Crosby won on 45.4% of the ballot nearly doubling second place Patrice Bergeron from Boston.

The 32-year-old also won the category of “the one player you would want on your team if you needed to win one game”.  Crosby got 44% of that vote.  He was also voted the top player “who isn’t on social media, but should be”.

Crosby finished second to Connor McDavid as the best forward in the game as Sid got 15% of the vote.  McDavid ran away with 68% of the vote.

Marc-Andre Fleury was third in the voting for best goalie with 8.9% with Carey Price getting 41.5% and Andrei Vasilevskiy receiving 17%.

Bruins Brad Marchand was voted the best and worst trash talker with former Penguin Ryan Reaves third for best.

Of the player current players would have liked to have seen play—Wayne Gretky 31.8%, Bobby Orr 14.9%, Mario Lemieux 9.24%.

PPG Paints Arena was voted the fourth best visitors dressing room with Edmonton first followed by Las Vegas and Detroit.

While he hasn’t had a great season on the ice, players don’t want to see Justin Schultz on the tee box.  NHL players voted Schultz the third best golfer among all players.

Phil Kessel was voted the fourth funniest player in the league.

This poll was conducted prior to the suspension of the NHL season.
