Pittsburgh (93.7 The Fan) - Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin remained consistent in his approach to Le'Veon Bell's continued absence from the team, saying after Thursday's practice that nothing's changed for him.  But could it affect his team heading into the season?

"You know I think it can," said Tomlin.  "Whether it is negative or positive is up to the team."

Some of the offensive linemen were extremely critical of Bell on Wednesday.  If Tomlin was surprised by those comments, he didn't let on.

"I'm around these guys every day," Tomlin said.  "I'm surprised by very little that they do or say."

Tomlin was asked if he's disappointed with Bell's decision to stay out.  "My level of disappointment is never a factor in terms of our approach to business."

Tomlin wouldn't speculate on what--if anything--has changed with Bell, saying "it's a waste of time."   He was also asked about comments made by Bell's agent Adisa Bakari.

"No, I'm not going to try to interpret what he said," Tomlin said.  "I really have nothing of value to add regarding comments."
