BALTIMORE (93.7 the Fan) – The Steelers players and head coach Mike Tomlin discussed the season-ending collapse, finished by the Ravens 28-10 Sunday.

“It sucks, it happens, for us we are missing some key players out there but at the end of the day we hurt ourself,” said receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

“This is not a good feeling for anyone in Pittsburgh,” said veteran Joe Haden, who has never won a playoff game in 3 years with the Steelers.  “They are not used to this.  This is not the norm.  We are trying to win a Super Bowl every year & its not fluff or just talk.  For us not to get in the playoffs is definitely an underachievement.”

“Just disappointing, but there have been a lot of disappointments this season,” said head coach Mike Tomlin.

For some, it could be a final game of their Steelers career including Javon Hargrave and Bud Dupree.

“That's the reality, it could be,” Dupree said.  “In a couple of months, we will find out."

Or guys on current contracts know they could be released.

“I know the reality of this,” said 11-year-veteran guard Ramon Foster.  “If they are going to release me tell me while I’m in Tennessee (his off-season home).  Don’t waste my time.”

“The hourglass is getting smaller and smaller for a lot of guys and this team won't be the same,” said captain Cam Heyward.”

“If you would have asked a lot of people at the beginning of the season if I would have been in this position, they would have said ‘no way’,” said Devlin Hodges.

Steelers will have post-season physicals on Monday as a once 8-5 team finished 8-8.
