Four Former Steelers Nominated For Pro Football Hall of Fame

Ward, Faneca, Everett and Cowher join a list of 102 nominees

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Four Steelers have been nominated for Pro Football Hall of Fame’s class of 2019.

Guard Alan Faneca, wide receiver Hines Ward, safety Thomas Everett and Head Coach Bill Cowher join 98 other nominees of the modern era.

It is the third straight nomination for Faneca, second for Ward and first for Everett and Cowher.

The list will be cut down to 25 semifinalists in November and 15 finalists will be announced in January.

The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will hold a meeting during Super Bowl weekend where a final class of five will be announced.

The induction ceremony takes place next August in Canton, Ohio.
