SOUTH SIDE (93.7 the Fan) - After suffering a hamstring injury while on special teams against the Browns and missing the Chiefs game, Steelers corner Joe Haden expects to play Monday night at Tampa Bay.

“It went really good,” Haden said of workouts Friday.  “I’m feeling good to go.  I should be able to go for sure.”

Haden went through a full practice both Thursday and Friday.

“I think we did it the right way, so I was able to go today and not really feel it,” Haden said.  “So I think we are in a good place.”

Haden started 11 games with the Steelers last year after being acquired in a late-August trade with Cleveland.  The former first round pick had an interception and 18 tackles, but players say his presence made the defense improve as the season progressed.

“It’s big,” linebacker Jon Bostic said of Haden’s potential return.  “What Joe brings to the table, he’s a veteran player in this league and made a lot of great plays for this team.  Any time you get another playmaker on the field, it’s always going to help the defense.”

Haden and the rest of the defense will be tested in prime-time as the Buccaneers are the number one ranked offense in the league.  Bucs also lead the NFL with 405 yards passing a game.

“Making sure you stay on top,” Haden said of stopping the big plays.  “Those dudes are very, very good at throwing big posts.  Good at throwing the go balls.  Fitz (Ryan Fitzpatrick) sees if the safety leaves the middle of the field open, he’s going to throw it there.  Just making sure when we see those alignments, making sure we stay on top.”
