Pro Football Hall of Fame Quarterback Joe Namath will be returning to his native  Beaver Falls this weekend for the Larry Bruno Foundation’s 2018 Circle of Achievement Celebration but before that he stopped by the Cook and Poni Show to chat with fellow Beaver County Sports Hall of Famer...Ron Cook.

The guys talked about a number of subjects including concussions which he is doing great work with as part of his foundation. Namath talked to Ron about what makes him so involved with learning more and trying top help those suffering with head injuries.

"We've had friends that have taken their own lives," Namath told Ron./ "I have been able to look into the eyes of teammates and see how terrified they are because of the process they are going through....They are diminishing mentally."

Namath also said that he will always stand by his country and the flag but understands and appreciates those trying to get awareness for the problems many are facing in the country but it needs to be solved in ways that are not disrespectful to the country.

Namath also weighed in about a potential Hall of Famer that plays here in Pittsburgh...Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger

"Ben Roethlisberger is a Hall of Fame player." Namath added. "He is one of the best that has ever played the game no doubt. He will be in the Hall of Fame."
