PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner told reporters Thursday he will not play Sunday in Arizona.

Conner has not played since Week 11 in Cleveland where he injured his shoulder.

He was limited in practice Wednesday.

"It's been feeling a little better," Conner said Thursday. "I've been able to take a couple reps with the scout team. I don't want to take none of the game reps away from some of the guys that are going to be active."

Benny Snell Jr. and Jaylen Samuels will likely continue to see most of the workload in the backfield.

Snell has emerged in the last two weeks, rushing for a combined 161 yards and a touchdown.

"I feel like I've done a pretty decent job," Snell said. "Trying to get first downs, trying to convert, trying to stay strong in pass protection and keep everything going."

The Steelers will likely be without Juju Smith-Schuster again Sunday, as well. The wide receiver did not practice Wednesday as he continues to deal with a knee injury.
