Harrison Says Tomlin Had Early Success Because He Had Cowher's Players

The former Steelers LB is once again going after his former coach

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Former Steelers linebacker James Harrison is going after his old coach again.

During an appearance on Undisputed Thursday with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless on Fox Sports 1 says Mike Tomlin is the reason for the Steelers failures in 2018 and the only reason

“He has to go out there and get this team ready. You’ve had instances where the defense plays well. You’ve had instances where the offense plays well and you know that they’re capable of doing that. If you look at the defense that he’s actually build I mean I think he has six or seven first rounders he has a couple second rounders through either draft or trade so he’s put together a defense that should be capable of going out there and stopping offenses.”

Harrison acknowledged that Tomlin has won a lot of games including a Super Bowl but he says it’s because he had former coach Bill Cowher’s team.

“If you even look at that and you go back the Super Bowl that he did win was basically a Bill Cowher based team. The team that actually went in 2010 was still a majority of Cowher [players] and since then I think he’s reached the AFC Championship game one time,” said Harrison.
