John Clayton "Not Certain" if Hall of Fame Game Will Happen

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - NFL Insider John Clayton joined the show for his weekly segment, and expressed his doubts that the Hall of Fame Game in Canton between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 6.

"I think it's going to be difficult to have the game," he said. "Particularly with no fan, and then, do they have the right ability to keep it safe for the players, coaches and everybody involved."

John also cited the likelihood of a shortened preseason, and increased injury risk to players with rushed training camps as a reason why the game might not happen.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine sparked the converstation Tuesday when he shared doubts of his own that the game can be played in safe manner with fans in attendance.

The Steelers and Cowboys are each scheduled to play in the game for the seventh time in their respective franchise histories, tied for the most appearances in NFL history.
