PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pirates have a real issue developing in the Pirates outfield, what do they do with Gregory Polanco?

Starling Marte returns soon and rookie Austin Meadows has been on a tear in the early games since his call up so will the Pirates move on form Polanco and keep Meadows with the big club? What options do they have?

Pirates Broadcaster John Wehner shared his thoughts as a guest on The Cook and Poni Show in his weekly spot on Friday.

"That is a great question," Wehner said. "This is his 5th year in the big leagues. It's not like he had a great year last year or a great year the year before. This is an ongoing thing...It's not like he had great success at the major league level and then he cooled off and they have to figure out a way to get him going...he has never gotten it going."

So what can the Pirates do?

"Maybe it's time to try something different," Wehner added. "And I think it’s better doing something different in my opinion at AAA instead of keep trying it at the big league level."
