PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan)- Pirates broadcaster John Wehner joins The Fan Morning Show every Tuesday at 9:30 am to discuss the team and get into some general shenanigans.

Before each one of his appearances, the show plays a clip of Greg Brown and Steve Blass (complete with a train whistle) calling Wehner's home run that ended up being the very last in Three Rivers Stadium history.

Wehner went into detail as to just how he got that baseball back.

"A guy did get me the ball from the last home run, yes," said Wehner. "We ended up making a trade at dinner down on the Southside. Yeah, he gave me the ball."

So he didn't want a signed bat or anything, he just wanted to have dinner with him?

"Well, he got arrested afterward, I think, because he jumped out of the stands and down behind the wall at Three Rivers. He knew these guys that owned a restaurant in the Southside. I guess he threw the ball to his buddy. They got a hold of me a few days later and yeah, we ended up meeting in the restaurant," Wehner said with a laugh.

As the case in most of these situations, it wasn't just about dinner with the Rock, though.

"I did sign a bat and maybe some other things, I don't remember exactly. But yeah, he was pretty cool about it, it was nice, it was fun, it was a good time."
