Kevin Stallings Relieved Of Duties At Pitt

Stallings Was 24-41 As Head Coach Including A 4-32 Mark In The ACC

PITTSBURGH (Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan) - Less than two years from when it began, the Kevin Stallings era of Pitt Basketball is over. 

Sources tell 93.7 The Fan Stallings was let go by the university following a meeting with Athletic Director Heather Lyke. 

Stallings departs ther men's basketball program with an overall record of  24-41 as head coach including a 4-32 mark in the ACC.

“I want to express my appreciation to Coach Stallings for his commitment to our program,” Athletic Director Heather Lyke said. “In moving forward, we have tremendous expectations for our men’s basketball program at Pitt and I believe we can achieve great things within the Atlantic Coast Conference and nationally. A national search for the next Pitt head coach will begin immediately.” Said Lyke. 

Stalling failed to win a conference game this season and the Panthers set a new mark for losses in the regular season with 24.
