PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - By now, you've seen and read every opinion on Le'Veon Bell's future with the Steelers beyond the 2018 season given that he and the team could not agree to a long-term deal by Monday's 4pm deadline.

But what about Bell's short-term future in terms of skipping games in 2018 like some have reported?

To hear our Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette on the matter, you'd feel pretty confident that Bell isn't going to miss any games.

"I think it will be Labor Day" when Bell shows up.  "He's not going to give up eight-hundred-and-some thousand dollars per week missed."

Just because they didn't reach an agreement this year doesn't mean they won't try again next year.  Ed doesn't seem very optimistic about that working though.

"I saw his agent came out with a statement saying this is probably going to be his last year with the Steelers.  A lot of things can change Joe...They'll try and sign him.  I have no doubt.  If he has another good year, they'll try and sign him.  Will they be able to?  No!"

You may remember that Bell did skip training camp last year and some blamed his slow start to the season due to him not being in "football shape."  Ed weighed in on that matter as well.

"I buy it Joe...It does mean something.  However, I can see why Le'Veon doesn't report.  I totally understand it."
