PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - Artie Burns has been benched multiple times this year and didn't play a defensive snap the entire game against the Browns last week.

When our Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette joined The PM Team with Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller, Burns play was the first topic they brought up to him.

"He has been bad for a couple times now," Ed said.  "He rotated against Tampa, then last week he didn't get in at all.  [Defensive Coordinator] Keith Butler was asked about it extensively today and he kept going around and around and around.  He said that it's up to Mike Tomlin.  He really didn't want to answer the questions."

Ed added that Butler eventually said it is about technique with Burns, but that's not how he sees it.

"I think it's more than technique.  It looks like, and you guys know this, looks like his head is not in the game."

Ed also offered up his thoughts on Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Wink Martindale criticizing Le'Veon Bell and saying the Steelers are better off without him.  Check out the audio below for Ed's response to that and more.
