Sarver, PA (93.7 The Fan) – The crown jewel of Late Model dirt racing, "The Firecracker 100", begins tonight at Lernerville Speedway.

The event consists of three nights of racing and fan-friendly events.  The weekend is capped off by the $30,000-to-win "Firecracker 100" Feature.

Thursday and Friday night there will be hot-laps, qualifying time-trials, up to six qualifying heat races, up to three last chance showdowns and a 30-Lap Feature which pays $6,000 to the winner.

Saturday night starts out with hot laps followed by qualifying heat races, whose lineup will be determined by the best feature finish on Thursday and Friday night.  There will also be the “Uncle Sam 30”, a 30-lap last chance showdown comprised of the non-qualifiers from the last chance showdowns.  The last race on Saturday will be the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win “Firecracker 100” Feature.

Fan-friendly activities include concerts on Thursday and Friday night, access to the drivers, a volleyball tournament, corn-hole tournament and a fireworks finale.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., the Main gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps starting at 6:50 p.m. followed by time trials at 7:15 p.m., opening ceremonies at 8 p.m. and racing immediately following at 8:05 p.m.
