PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)-Major League Baseball still does not have a start date for the season and some think there may never be one but if and when we start the 2020 season we know this. It won’t look the same and now we know it won’t sound the same.

The Voice of the Pirates Greg Brown told Ron Cook on the Cook and Joe Show when he joined them on Friday that the reports are true. MLB broadcasters will not be traveling with the teams and will be broadcasting the games remotely from the AT&T Sportsnet studios for TV and radio games.

Brown said it will be an adjustment but one that he will welcome just to have games to broadcast again.

The Broadcasters of all major league teams will only be in the booth for home games and will not travel with the teams in order to minimize the number in the travel parties to help follow CDC guidelines for players and coaches safety I social distancing.
