PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - From being a first round pick back in 2016 to getting benched this year, it has been a rough season for Steelers cornerback Artie Burns.

To figure out what's wrong with Burns, The PM Team turned to one of the best to ever play the position, Hall of Famer and Steelers great Rod Woodson.

"It's really just the fundamentals of the game itself," Woodson told us.  "I don't think he's fundamentally sound, but there's a lot of players like that in the National Football League."

We've heard some experts speculate that it could be a confidence issue for Burns, so we asked Woodson how hard it is to get back your confidence playing cornerback if you've lost it.

"You'd think that all players who are in the National Football League have the utmost confidence in who they are and their abilities...a lot of times I don't know if everybody always believes in the guy they see in the mirror, but at the end of the day, you have to believe in who he is and that he can play in this league, because if you don't believe in it, it's not going to happen."

So if his confidence is gone, can he get it back?

"Absolutely," Woodson said.  "He just needs to have a couple good games."
