PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - Steelers running back James Conner joined The PM Team for the weekly James Conner Show following the teams loss to the Cleveland Browns in which he had to leave early.

James took us into his thought process in playing and how things ended up for him.

"I'm feeling a little better...I was ready, I took a chance, I wanted to play, I just needed more time."

As for the nest step in his recover process.

"It's something I can't put a timetable on, I just have to do what's best for my body and the team."

So how many more games until we could see James on the field?

"I can't put a number on it.  I just have to continue to attack the rehab live I've been doing...I wish I did know."

Asked if there's a surgical procedure he could go through to speed up the recovery process, James says "the only thing that 's gonna be able to have that ligament heal is time."

James goes into more detail about his status saying "it's going to be a day-by-day thing" and that he'll return when he feels like himself again.
