PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - There was plenty of controversy from the Steelers-Ravens loss over the weekend and running back James Conner joined The PM Team for his weekly show to break it all down.

First and foremost, Conner weighed on the job Devlin Hodges did coming in for Mason Rudolph.

"He got limited reps, but he did good for stepping in...He has that kind of personality, he didn't have anything to lose, he already over came the odds.  I thought he handled himself well."

Juju Smith-Schuster is taking a lot of heat for his fumble late in the game that led to the Ravens game-winning field goal, and James came to his teammates defense.

As for the specific play where the ball was knocked loose and recovered by the Ravens, James added "I'm not making no excuses, but I would love to see a lot of people in that situation and see how many people hold onto the ball...I know Juju's going to be fine.

James was also asked for his thoughts on fans and writers being critical of Juju for what he does off the field in his personal life.

"We know how we go about our business...we're definitely more than athletes."
