PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)-For the First time since the MLB season was suspended Pirates Manger Derek Shelton joined the Cook and Joe Show form his office at PNC Park.

He says he remains very optimistic that a season will happen this year and he doesn’t care how many games they will play but rather happy that they will be on the field playing games again.

“I’m excited to put on the uniform and get out there,” Shelton said. “The number is not as important to me as it is as that we are playing.”

He also tells Cook and Joe in his weekly appearance that the players are as eager to get back to work and ready to get a season underway.

It might be a good sign that the Pirates skipper is back in Pittsburgh where a spring training 2.0 would happen once a deal is approved for a season to get underway.
