PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) -- More news is coming out on Sunday around Antonio Brown’s release from the Raiders.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Brown sought out advice from social media consultants to help him “accelerate his release from [the> Raiders.”

The first step, according to Mortensen, was to post the letter from Raiders GM Mike Mayock regarding the “conduct detriment” fines.

Brown posted on social media on Saturday morning asking the Raiders to release him.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported on Saturday that Brown's ask came after the Raiders fined him $215,073.53 Friday night “for conduct detrimental to the team” and that the Raiders voided the $29.125 million worth of guaranteed money in Brown’s deal.

Following the social media post, the Raiders announced they released Brown, who then signed with the New England Patriots hours later.
