PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - Ben Roethlisberger mentioned on his weekly radio show that he has been experiencing some elbow discomfort that impacted his mechanics and is something he needs to mentally get over.

When Ben's former teammate Bruce Gradkowski joined The PM Team with Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller, he said this could be more of a problem than just some sort of mental block.

"To me, I kind of have some concerns," Gradkowski said about Ben's elbow discomfort.

"Just with the shoulder injury I had, sometimes it's those short, quick, snap type throws that would hurt my shoulder and it would punch every time I would try to do that.  So with Ben...sometimes I don't see him following through coming through the football and that's why he's leaving some of them high and they sail on him," Bruce added.

Looking back more on last weeks game against the Falcons, Bruce discussed the interception Ben threw in the endzone when he tossed a jump ball up on second down.

"He's the most competitive guy I've ever been around," Bruce said as to why he wouldn't give up on the play.

"It's engrained in him to be a winner, and so when he takes the field...it's not always technically sound, but he's done it so often and it goes overlooked because we just take it for granted."
