PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - After looking impressive at times, Steelers running back James Conner was forced to leave the teams week 16 matchup with the Jets early with a quad injury.

Conner joined The PM Team for his weekly show and told us what the status is of that injured right quad after getting an MRI earlier in the day.

"I just had my MRI this morning, no tears in it, just a lot of swelling and bruising."

James went into more detail about how the injury is impacting him.

"It's hard for me to walk right now.  I can't really extend my leg too much."

As for what people are saying about him getting hurt again "I'm the star running, so I juts want to be available, so that's basically all it is.  I just want to be available to the team.  I know the type of talent that I have.  The type of player I am, but this whole year, I've missed a good number of games and it's just been frustrating because I prepared really hard this offseason for a big year."
