PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - On his weekly segment with The PM Team, NFL Insider John Clayton talked about where he would rank the Pittsburgh Steelers this season in the overall AFC standings.

Listen to your team news NOW.

“4 or 5 right now. And after 5 I think there’s going to be a big gap. I’ve been back and forth on Cleveland winning the division,” said Clayton.

Clayton likes what the Steelers did in the draft to make themselves more competitive on defense.

“I look at that Steeler team, I think it’s more talented on defense. I love the move to get Devin Bush, I thought that was huge. I still think the offense will be potent, Ben Roethlisberger is still one of the top 3 quarterbacks in the game.”

As for the teams that Clayton thinks finishes ahead of them?

“I think the Chargers are more of a complete team, Kansas City still doesn’t have the defense, Indianapolis you can make the argument they’re one of the top 3 teams in the AFC, and you still have New England.”

With Clayton thinking the Steelers finish in 4th or 5th place overall in the AFC, how many wins will the Steelers finish with?

“I’m thinking that they will have 10 or 11 wins.”

Clayton also touched on the Browns and the drama they could have with the players on their team.

“I think that’s the biggest determination on where the Browns will go this year. You have Odell Beckham Jr on the team who can be a handful. You’ve got Baker Mayfield who is somewhat a delight and somewhat of a headache with some of the comments he can make.”

Head coach Freddie Kitchens could have his hands full this season.

“Right now everything’s great, they’re 0-0, people are predicting them to be the division winner.”
