PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Penn State has a commitment from another top-ranked Pennsylvania high school recruit.

Joey Porter Jr., son of ex-Steelers linebacker and current outside line backers coach Joey Porter, made the announcement on Twitter Tuesday saying, “To coach Terry Smith & Head Coach James Franklin, thank you for giving me the opportunity to get a great education and play some good football.”

Porter Jr. is a highly recruited 6-foot-2 cornerback in his senior year at North Allegheny.

Porter chose Penn State over schools like Nebraska, Miami and Pitt, that made him offers.

It is also the second year in a row the Nittany Lions have gotten a commitment from Pennsylvania’s top-ranked prospect.
