Official: Francisco Liriano Signs Minor League Deal With Pirates
The left-handed pitcher is coming back to Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Francisco Liriano is coming back to Pittsburgh.
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Monday that Liriano "agreed to terms on a minor league contract with LHP Francisco Liriano, which includes an invitation to big league camp."

The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal had tweeted Monday afternoon of the news after sources said “free-agent left-hander Francisco Liriano in agreement with Pirates.”

Robert Murray with The Athletic reported that it would be a minor league deal.

Liriano, who last played for the Pirates in 2016, posted a 5-12 record as a member of the Detroit Tigers last year.
Since leaving Pittsburgh, Liriano has spent time as a starter and reliever and was a situational pitcher for the World Series Champion Houston Astros in 2017.
