Alexander Ovechkin can now say he is a Stanley Cup Champion, but does his victory put him in the same realm as Sidney Crosby as greatest player in the NHL today?

The answer is NO, nope, no way, not even close.

Don’t get me wrong, Ovechkin is a great player but if he was on the Penguins he wouldn’t even be the second best player on the team with Malkin right with Crosby.

Sid possesses the all-around skill that has kept him at the top of the league for over a decade now and shows no signs of slowing down.

When it is all said and done it is possible Sid and Ovi have the same number of Stanley Cups under their belts but I doubt it and I think Crosby still has another one or two championships in him before he calls it a career.
