PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - It was overall good news on the injury front for the Steelers during Coach Mike Tomlin’s press conference Tuesday, but fullback Roosevelt Nix may be out for a few games with a knee injury.

Nix was hurt in Sunday’s 33-3 loss in New England.

Otherwise, Tomlin said there are a lot of “bumps and bruises”

TJ Watt, Joe Haden, Juju Smith-Schuster, Sean Davis and Maurkice Pouncey are dealing with injuries that could make them limited for practice early in the week but the team is optimistic they will all play on Sunday when the Seattle Seahawks come to Heinz Field for the home opener.

Tomlin also said that Watt had the audio helmet on for the Steelers defense on Sunday.

Tomlin also addressed Sunday’s blowout loss and said that their plan simply wasn’t good enough against the Patriots and missing short yardage circumstances as a big factor in the loss.

He also referenced the team dropping the ball, referring to receiver Donte Moncrief who was targeted 10 times but only made 3 catches for 7 yards.
