PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby showed the NHL why he is still the best in the world during Saturday’s All-Star Game in San Jose. He was named the MVP after scoring eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) over two 3-on-3 games.

On Monday the NHL named Crosby the NHL’s First Star for the week for his All-Star Performance.

Crosby lead the Metropolitan Division to an All-Star Game victory and becomes the 4th Penguins player to win the game MVP (Mario Lemieux won it three times, Syl Apps Jr. and Greg Polis both won it once).

Defenseman Kris Letang had 5 points over the two games.

The Penguins hit the ice again after a bye week Monday night at PPG Paints Arena when the New Jersey Devils come to town.

The Penguins currently sit in 4th place in the Metropolitan Division and are 5 points behind the first place New York Islanders.
