Penguins Justin Schultz Out For 4 Months

The Pens defensemen had surgery to repair a left leg fracture

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz had surgery Sunday to repair a lower left leg fracture and is expected to miss four months.

General Manager Jim Rutherford said in a release Monday the surgery was performed by the Penguins’ head team doctor Dharmesh Vyas and Dr. Alex Kline at UPMC Presbyterian.

Schultz suffered the injury Saturday night in the first period against the Canadiens in Montreal.
