PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Penguins “Learn to Play Dek Hockey” program is coming back again this summer.

The program that launched last year is expanding for 2019. It is designed as a first experience for kids interested in dek hockey and focuses on drills and scrimmages

Registration begins Tuesday and must be completed online. The cost is $65.

Participants will receive gear from head-to-toe including a helmet, hockey stick, hockey gloves, shin guards and Learn to Play t-shirt.

Equipment pickup will be at your selected rink before your first scheduled session.

The program is open to all children aged 4 to 9.

“Each program will consist of six learn to play sessions designed to introduce beginners to the sport of dek hockey in a fun and safe environment,” the Penguins website said.
