Penguins Prospect Camp Begins In Cranberry Next Week

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Penguins have announced the team’s prospect camp will be next Wednesday and run through next Friday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, all sessions open to the public.

The camp being with practices on Wednesday and will end with a three on three tournament Friday.

The Pens signed Zach Aston-Reese after last year’s prospect camp.

Its possible Tobias Lindberg will be there. The 22-year-old forward from Sweden signed a one year, two-way contract with the Pens Tuesday.

Lindberg became the Pens property after the three-team trade with Ottawa and Vegas that brought Derek Brassard to Pittsburgh. Lindberg never came to Pittsburgh but stayed with Vegas’ minor-league affiliate for the remainder of the season. Lindberg had 10 goals and 13 assists for the Chicago Wolves in 64 games last season.

The Penguins said the will release the camp roaster early next week.
