Penguins Trade Derek Grant to Anaheim

The Penguins have traded forward Derek Grant to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for 24-year-old forward Joseph Blandisi. 

Grant has appeared in 25 games for Pittsburgh this season, recording two goals and three assists. With Wilkes-Barre/Scrantton, Grant has 3 goals and an assist. He was signed as a free agent this past offseason after spending the 2017-2018 season in Anaheim. 

Blandisi is in his fourth year as a pro, having played his first two seasons in New Jersey, racking up 26 points over two seasons. But he has yet to record a point in just six NHL games played since the start of last year. With the AHL's San Diego Gulls, Blandisi had eight goals and 15 assists this season.He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2012 draft by Colorado. 

The Penguins continue their Western road trip with a game in Arizona Friday night at 9 p.m.
