Penguins Wives And Girlfriends Raise $59k For Charity

The money will go to six local non-profits

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The “Lady Pens,” the wives and girlfriends of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have given over $59,000 to six Pittsburgh area non-profit organizations.

The funds were raised through sales of their “Welcome to Our Table” cookbook.

Donations were made to the following organizations:

  • Christopher’s Kitchen
  • Blessings in a Backpack
  • Beverly’s Birthdays
  • National Aviary
  • Pennies from Heaven
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania

“We love this city and its people. In these unprecedented times, we hope our donations assist in fulfilling needs in our community. We are proud to be Pittsburghers and wish safety and health to everyone in the Pittsburgh region,” The Lady Pens said in a statement.
