PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – Winners of one game in November, the Pens will get captain Sidney Crosby back Wednesday night hosting Dallas.

“I feel good,” Crosby said.  “I’m excited to get back in the line-up and get back out there.”

Crosby has missed the last three games after suffering an upper-body injury presumably in the loss at New Jersey.  Crosby doesn’t believe his timing will be greatly affected.

“I think it’s short enough,” Crosby said.  “I think if I have the same mentality and go out there and play the right way, then I think it will come fairly quick.”

His team could use a boost, dropping to last place in the Eastern Conference.

“It’s never easy when you are losing games,” Crosby said.  “Guys get frustrated and I think it’s just a matter of getting through that.  Obviously we did a lot of good things last game.”

And while the Pens did earn a point against Buffalo in that Monday game, they blew a 4-1 lead.

“Sometimes you make mistakes and they are little ones and guys are able to bail each other out, but I think in this case, in the last week or so we’ve given up some pretty big chances and ones that are hard to recover from.  They haven’t been the same thing and if they were, I think we would have solved it.  I think it’s just a matter of finding that consistency everywhere in our game and if we do that we will put wins together.”
