Pirates Avoid Arbitration With Dickerson and Kela

Dickerson Will Make 8.5 Million In 2019, Kela Will Make $3.175 Million

(PITTSBURGH - 93.7 The Fan): It was announced Friday night that the Pirates have avoided arbitration with Gold Glove Outfielder Corey Dickerson and Reliever Keona Kela.

First reported by Robert Murray of the Athletic, Corey Dickerson will make $8.5 million for the 2019 season.

And Reliever Keona Kela will make $3.175 million this season.

Also, earlier Friday afternoon, the Pirates annonced that they claimed pitcher Aaron Slegers off of waivers from the Minnesota Twins.  To make room on the 40-man roster for Slegers, the Pirates designated pitcher Dario Agrazel for assignment.

Pitchers and Catchers report to Bradenton for the start of Spring Training in 33 days.
