Pirates Draft Outfielder And Pitcher In 3rd And 4th Rounds

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pirates have drafted Centerfielder Matt Frazier out of the University of Arizona in the 3rd round Tuesday afternoon, 95th overall.

The junior is hitting .412 in 19 games for the Wildcats with 35 hits, six doubles, two singles and one homerun with 28 RBI.

With the 124th overall pick in the fourth round the Pirates selected RHP J.C. Flowers out of Florida State.

In 23.2 innings pitched, Flowers had a 1.52 ERA over 20 appearances.
