PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Two Pirates Minor leaguers will participate in the All-Star Futures game. Indianapolis Indians pitcher Mitch Keller and Altoona Curve infielder Ke’Bryan Hayes will make the trip to Washington D.C. for the July 15 game, two days before the MLB All-Star Game.

Keller, who started the season in Double-A Altoona, was called up to Indianapolis on June 28. He has a record of 9-3 and a 3.71 ERA. Keller was ranked the Bucs top prospect by Baseball America and MLB Pipeline and is currently rated the 12th-best prospect in all of baseball.

Hayes is ranked as the team’s third-best prospect and is hitting .290 for Altoona with 20 doubles, six triples and four home runs.

The All-Star Futures Game pits Team USA against Team World and is a part of the All-Star week festivities, this year being hosted by the Washington Nationals.
