Pitt QB Pickett Named ACC Quarterback Of The Week

The Panthers quarterback threw for 316 yards; three touchdowns

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett has been named the ACC Quarterback of the Week for his performance during Pitt’s 34-13 win at Wake Forest Saturday.

Pickett had his best day of production against the Demon Deacons with 316 yards, three touchdowns can completed 23-of-30 throws.

The Panthers QB  was also recognized by the Manning Award as one of the eight “Stars of the Week” at quarterback.

Pickett said after Saturday's win they have been working on the passing game for awhile now.

“It’s been a lot of hard work throughout the season, throughout the offseason. I really just think it’s starting to click for us now so hopefully we’ll just get in a rhythm here and just keep moving forward,” said Pickett.

Saturday’s win against Wake Forest was Pitt’s fourth straight and secured the ACC Coastal Division Title. The Panthers will play Clemson for the ACC championship Saturday December 1 in Charlotte, N.C. Kickoff is 8 p.m.
