PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Jason La Confora from made an appearance on The PM Team Monday and discussed a possible trade the Steelers could make.

Listen to your team news NOW.

“I think they may be in a position where they can get a decent draft pick for Josh Dobbs,” said La Confora.

He discussed how Ben isn’t going to play a ton in the preseason, so if Dobbs looks really good in the preseason maybe the Steelers will try and move him to another team for a draft pick.

“They’ll let that play out, I think internally when they think of real high end upside ability to potentially be the heir apparent, they’re hoping that guy is Mason Rudolph.”

So what kind of return could the Steelers receive from a team for Josh Dobbs?

“If you can get a five or something that moves you up a little more if he actually plays where he goes. I mean the reality there is does a team get stuck? Does a team that thinks he’s pretty good lose a quarterback or maybe two, and be in a position where you can get more than that?”

La Confora thinks if the right team needs a quarterback, it could happen.

“He’s somebody that teams have sniffed around last year. If he looks the part in the preseason and someone is in a bind I wouldn’t rule it out.”

He also discussed that he believes the Steelers will extend Joe Haden to a contract, Artie Burns will be on this football team this year, and Mason Rudolph will be the backup quarterback.
