Antonio Brown Reportedly Files Grievances Against Patriots and Raiders

In a move that was seen as inevitable, NFL Network reports that free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown has filed grievances against both the Patriots and Raiders to recoup lost payments after he was released by the two teams in less than a month’s span to open this season.

Technically the grievances have been filed on Brown’s behalf by the NFL’s Players Association.

In total Brown is seeking more than $40 million from the two teams, including his $9 million signing bonus and more than $1 million in guaranteed base salary from the Patriots.

NFLN reports that the appeal isn’t likely to heard by an arbitrator until after the 2019 season, sometime next spring.
