PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan)- Steelers guard Ramon Foster missed last week's game against the Colts after suffering a concussion against the Dolphins the previous Monday.

Listen to your team news NOW.

He joined The Fan Morning Show in his weekly spot on Tuesday at 8:00 am and described what exactly happened.

"I felt off. You know that feeling of when you just don't feel right. Honestly, it got to a point where when we scored, I told one of the d-lineman on their team, 'Alright, this is the beginning of your butt whoopin so, I'll see you later.' Come to find out I actually checked myself in because of the concussion protocol."

When asked about his status now, Foster assured us he's close to getting back.

"I'm feeling fine. I got one more doctor's visit with Dr. Micky Collins and I'll have to pass the last protocol but as far as me and my symptoms, I feel fine. So yeah, should be a go this weekend."

Ramon said everything with Mason Rudolph and the offense continues to be a work in progress and they are still working to find their stride this season.

"Each week can be different. He can probably light it up this week, but it's just to be seen. He's learning, there's a lot of pressure, he's probably one of the youngest guys on the entire offense and he's trying to figure out at the lead position. So we take no issue with how Mason played in the game, I think the best thing we have going for us is how good our defense has been in supporting us to work through those issues.

There is no bother. Nobody is really looking side to side at him. It's just that we know it's a growing position. You don't become a superstar overnight and sometimes if you do start too fast, that means your crash can be a lot harder than you expect. We're working with Mason and I think he's going to be really good for the rest of the season."
