PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pirates could be looking to sign free agent shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal has reported that the Bucs are one of six teams interested in the 34-year-old veteran.

Tulowitzki, who was released by the Toronto Blue Jays last week, missed the entire 2018 season due to an injury to his heels. He still had $38 million left on his contract.

Tulowitzki played for Pirates manager Clint Hurdle in Colorado from 2006-09.

Tulowitzki has a lifetime batting average of .290 but his average has hovered around .250 since he joined the Blue Jays in 2015.
